Internal records refer to the data and information that a company collects and maintains about its own operations, customers, and performance. This can include sales data, customer feedback, inventory records, we can gain valuable insights into your business strengths, weakness and opportunities for growth. On the other hand, marketing intelligence involves gathering and analyzing information about the external environment, such as market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors. Both internal records and marketing intelligence play a crucial role in developing a comprehensive marketing marketing plan. They provide the foundation for understanding our target audience, identifying market opportunities.
Gathering information and scanning the environment are essential steps in the process of starting and running a successful business. To gather information, we can conduct market research by analyzing industry trends, studying our target audience, and identifying potential competitors. This will help us to understand the current market landscape and make informed decisions about business strategy. Scanning the environment involves keeping a close eye on external factors that could impact our business. such as changes in consumer preferences, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments. Some effective methods for gathering information include conducting surveys, interviews, and focus groups with our market data, attending trade shows and conferences, and keeping eye in social media trends.
